ABOUT THE ROLE
Based at a 27-bed residential property in Croydon, we are hiring an Occupational Therapist to join the team to support individuals with specific needs, and provide occupational therapy assessment through a level of contact, support, and supervision to enable and empower our residents to achieve their maximum levels of functional independence and enhance their sense of wellbeing.
Penrose Croydon: A 27-bed residential property specialising in forensic mental health, complex needs and dual diagnosis. We offer psychologically-informed housing and resettlement support that comes with additional help for individuals’ specific needs. Our forensic mental health step-down services consist of four individual sites which cater for high and medium support for both, men and women.
Rota: This role is Pro Rata £41,000 across three working days (22.5 hours per week) between Monday and Friday.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone who has a Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy, or professional equivalent, HCPC registration, and with previous experience of working with people with multiple complex needs, with the ability to apply theory to the practical working environment. We provide a trauma-informed, non-judgmental approach in everything we do, so are looking for someone who can integrate well within the team, and build trusting relationships with others. You will be able to apply your knowledge of relevant guidance and protocols to the working environment.
