ABOUT THE ROLE
Join our new and growing Maintenance and Estates team part of our wider Housing and Maintenance team! You will contribute to the smooth running of upkeep and repair operations within the team. As part of this role, you will be provided a small company van, fuel card, and credit card.
As a Maintenance Operative, you will provide a customer focused service to all stakeholders, and carry out work to our properties to ensure they are kept to required standards, are safe, and work towards the SIG ‘Good Homes’ Standard. You will make regular visits to our services which are across London, Bedford, Luton, Brighton, Kent, Havering, Liverpool and Nottingham.
Please note, a Full Manual UK Driving Licence is an essential criteria for this position.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00 (including 30 minute unpaid break). You will be based in central office but are required to travel to our different services on a regular basis throughout the week.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for someone with proven technical skills and working knowledge of various trades in the given area, this includes carpentry and plumbing. You will be confident in taking ownership of projects, leading a team to ensure compliance, and work within multidisciplinary teams to provide a seamless service. We are looking for someone who can work proactively, use their own initiative in a fast paced environment, and find solutions to challenges that may arise.
If you are a self-starter, leader, and able to communicate well with others, as well as bring new ideas to the team for consistent improvement, this might be right for you!
