ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking experienced Chefs and Cooks to join our team to prepare meals for our residents and participants in residential social care settings across London.
You will be creating meals for our diverse and marginalised Resident and Participant groups as they seek recovery. You will need to understand ordering and budgeting as well as a strong understanding of food safety. A solid understanding of meal planning, dietary needs, and allergy control is essential, but your most important quality will be that you are a people person who is willing to engage with our Residents as you tailor healthy and delicious meals to satisfy their needs and wants.
Shift Pattern: Various shifts depending on the service. Generally between 9am and 5pm with shifts available 7 days per week.
ABOUT THE SOCIAL INTEREST GROUP
The Social Interest Group is a collection of Charities that support marginalised people back into the community or a better quality of life. We work with Residents and Participants through various challenges such as homelessness, Mental Health problems, substance abuse, and complex combinations of these issues. We believe that all people deserve a chance and to be respected, and we strive to support their recovery into personal empowerment and independent living.

We are looking for a team player who uses their love of cooking to share joy with our residents, an effective communicator who is able to build rapport with others from various backgrounds. You will be compassionate, supportive, and empowering to others, whilst able to form effective, positive and motivational relationships.
