ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Person-Centred Deputy Service Manager to join our team in Brent! In this role, you will work closely with the Service Manager to lead a dedicated team, delivering housing-related support to vulnerable individuals at risk of or recovering from homelessness. Together, we’ll strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our participants.

As Deputy Service Manager, you will oversee the provision of high-quality, trauma-informed services tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant. You’ll ensure the team operates in compliance with contractual obligations while providing exceptional leadership and support.

Our service supports adults aged 18 to 60 with low to medium support needs, including:

  • Individuals who are single and homeless
  • Those who are socially excluded
  • Ex-offenders
  • People dealing with substance misuse issues
  • Individuals with low-level mental health needs
  • Adults with low to medium learning disabilities
  • Women transitioning from domestic abuse environments as part of their resettlement after moving on from refuges or other safe accommodation

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00, and 10:00 - 18:00 face to face in service, including some level of outreach and community home visits. You may need to also work outside these hours as service requirements, including being on our out of hours on call rota duty

What are we looking for?

  • Understanding and/or experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours
  • Experience of working with and engaging with diverse groups of people from varying backgrounds
  • IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software
  • Understanding and/or practical knowledge of the social and societal marginalisation that can be attached to people with mental health issues, addiction, exploitation, homelessness and within the criminal justice system
  • Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders
  • Ability to follow organisational policies and process in line with external governance
