ABOUT THE PURCHASE LEDGER OFFICER ROLE

The Purchase Ledger Officer is a crucial role within the Finance Department at Social Interest Group and its subsidiaries. This position ensures the smooth running of financial operations, helping the organisation meet its financial and legal obligations while making the best use of resources to support our vulnerable residents and participants. 

You will be responsible for managing supplier payments, staff expenses, and procurement processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with organisational policies. Key duties include maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and producing regular reports to support transparency and informed decision-making.

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working 3 days from central office ( Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) 2 days from home. 

Salary: £30,000 

What are we looking for from a Purchase Ledger Officer?

  • Proven appropriate experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities
  • IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, advanced knowledge in Microsoft, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to learn and manage relevant programs and systems
  • Ability to make commercially and value-driven balanced decisions, including the use of data to make decisions and reports
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities within a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
